The President of Champion Ways Bible College, Bishop Dr. Sam Owusu, has consecrated Prophet Jonas Boateng to the high office of Bishop and ordained others to the offices of Pastors and Prophets at the just concluded Graduation ceremony of the college, held in Kumasi and Accra, Ghana.
In all, 39 graduands were ordained having gone through various diploma courses in Theology and Church Administration, Theology and Counseling, Christian Ministry and Leadership amongst others.
The first batch of the graduation and impartation service was held at the Cultural centre in Kumasi on October 23, where Prophet Jonas Boateng was consecrated as a Bishop and 21 others were ordained as pastors and prophets in a beautiful ceremony attended by family and friends of the graduands, while eighteen new pastors and prophets were also ordained at a colourful ceremony held at the church auditorium, Achimota, Accra Ghana.
The newly ordained ministers were admonished to give priority to the Word of God and pray in their individual lives and ministry for them to do exploits in their various calling. President/founder of the college, Bishop Dr. Sam Owusu made the appeal in a sermon while admonishing the newly ordained ministers. He said that for any minister of God to enjoy the fullness of God, he/she must allow the Word of God to change their attitude, lifestyle and also activate it in their individual lives. Decrying the decrease in preaching the genuine Word of God and making of disciples among Christians, Bishop Sam Owusu called on the newly ordained ministers to live up to their responsibilities by preaching true Word of God which, in his words:
“The Word of God that is settled in heaven must be activated on earth. The word that created everything can be applied to change anything, arise and activate the Word. God’s word is so important that He has exalted it above His name”. Warning the congregation against spiritual dormancy, the cleric said active word of God brings deliverance, victory over sin, flesh and devil, adding that genuine men of God dominate through the spoken word of God. “If you stir up the word in your heart as burning fire, it will burst from your mouth as living fire”, he said.
Proceeding to the next phase of the ceremony, Bishop Sam Owusu called forward the graduands and imparted to them spiritual gifts for a new level in ministry. He also imparted them with grace, healing and various gifts.
