The just ended 2018 Praying Women Conference hosted by the vibrant Glorious Impact Worship Center was superb, rich in quality, spiced with a strong presence of God, and an overflow of the anointing. This second edition of the annual, prophetic and power-packed gathering of women had “The Virtuous Woman” as its theme. Each day begun with a well-drilled prayer squad, skilled in spiritual combat, that set the atmosphere on fire. They were up to the task, adding plenty of bite that turned rough diamonds into polished gems. Also enriching the program with their depth of quality was The Ramah Praise Choir of the GIWC, ably led by Minister Kwaku Teye.
So fascinating and such a delight to watch, they rose to the occasion with a virtuoso performance which held scores of believers spellbound. Demonstrating that the Christian woman is a woman of prayer, Rev. Mrs Victoria Ahiahornu who was given a two-day slot proved a real character of steel. After each teaching session, she led her audience into the heat of spiritual battle, making powerful declarations and flowing amazingly in the accuracy of the spirit. There was no where the enemy could run for cover. Backgrounds were dealt with whilst diverse chains broken.
A surge of refreshing was evident as hearts were opened to the move of God. Host Pastor Rev. Emmanuel Temda, who has cut such an electric figure when it comes to deliverance ministration, was on course on Day 3. Using Matthew 7:7-10 as his reference point, gifts of the spirits were stirred in the lives of spiritually thirsty believers as he laid hands on them. Many received the gifts of speaking in tongues while others manifested strong prophetic gifts. Dormant gifts received powerful activations and the presence of the Holy Spirit increased in intensity on the night. Climaxing it all was charismatic celebrity Rev. Mrs. Rita Korankye Ankrah, (affectionately called Mama Rita) who articulated why the praying woman must never be a sleeping queen. She showed a spirited character, powerful spiritual prowess and resilience that tore the kingdom of darkness into shreds. Mama Rita, whose sterling leadership virtues has inspired one of the largest women’s movements in the country – the Royal Ladies Ministries International, cautioned the believers not to go on a spiritual recess to enable the enemy pull a fast one on them. She was flawless, putting up a great content that nourished the expectant believers and provoking them to push for prayer power. All said and done, “The Praying Woman Conference” has been a monumental success that will undoubtedly leave footprints on the sands of time. The praying spirit in the women of GIWC have undoubtedly been triggered and will obviously have an exceptional and immeasurable impact on the church at large.
