The prestigious African Awards is an internationally recognized event initiated and organized by EAD group of companies. EAD group of companies is a consulting firm which helps in generating solutions which are cost- efficient, forward thinking and helpful to support brand shape communities to activate their dreams and visions.
This Award centered on areas of humanitarian activities, the presidency, social lifestyle, religious organizations, entertainment and media, Business and finance.
Nominees were selected from 14 countries such as Ghana, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Morocco, Algeria, South Africa, Tunisia etc.
The Award was launched firstly in Accra Ghana on the 21st September 2017 with selection of awardees from all around the world.
This was done by world known entrepreneurs, entertainers, religious bodies etc.
Choosing from 14 different countries, with a total number of 375 categorically selected nominees with 25 prestigious awards and 37 prestigious Honorary Awards with projected viewers of 50 million around the world.
Presidential nominations in persons of H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo of Ghana, H.E Mulatu Teshome of Ethopia, H.E John Magufuli of Tanzania, H.E Beiji Caid Essebsi of Tunisia among other Presidents. Entrepreneurs such as Dr. Joseph Agyapong Siaw , Apostle Dr. Kwadjo Safo.,Daniel Taylor among others.
Entertainers such as Becca, Jacky Appiah, KSM. Pastors in persons of Bishop Samuel Owusu, Rev Lucy Natasha from Kenya, Apostle Fred Osei Anim UK , among others. And the arts of companies, production fields etc.
The night of the Awards came with all refreshing and glamorous appearances of the nominees with excitements, joy and happiness to Grace the occasion.
Most nominees came with families and friends to join them celebrate.. The red carpet started at 5pm with all sounds, songs, cameras, photographs, interviews, building inter personal relationships to enhance growth and establishment in every area of their working fields.
The event hosted by Mr. Emmanuel Addo was introduced with the vision, mission and services of EAD group of companies being enlightened. There were performances by invited Khali Sax and friends, Calabash Dance theatre and song ministration by Madam Edna Bruce Kudjoe.
Nominees came in numbers to receive their perspective Awards and in one category of Award was the man of God who with much excitement about his nomination was thrilled by the love of the people and everyone at the event.
Bishop Sam Owusu also Known as Apostle of Grace was among other nominees. A man from a humble poor background who went through the stages struggles as village farmer and having paid his way through school and again even had to drop out of school and taught himself to write his final exams because of school fees. He dropped out of secondary school in the second year. He began to sell in the streets as a hawker until he encountered Christ and after giving him life to Jesus his interest for God’s word and doing the work of God begin to bubbles. He began teaching and preaching in the streets and led many to Christ.
His passion for the things of God grew until he enrolled in his first bible school and later proceed to Benson Idahosa University thus All Nation Bible institute in Nigeria through a friend who had got an admission to the school. He was granted admission as he followed his friend and graduated in 2009.
This gave him hope to search for God and began to pursue God. He returned to Ghana after years with empty handed but with anointing to raise leaders. He met his wife Lady Joy and had to move to the house of the young lady because he had no house in Kumasi and this made them to get married in 2003 December with a borrowed wedding gown and shoe.
He began his mission work in Kumasi with nothing but was with vision to accomplish. He later was led by the lord to come to Accra which he has to borrow 5ghc and has to sleep on the street of Accra for six months, eating left over foods from restaurants, had neither clothes to wear nor food to eat.
He kept the faith in God so strong and followed the ways of the Lord even when all around him showed no sign of a better tomorrow.
He started 8 churches none survived. With sorrow and pain, he decided to end his life until God spoke to him saying “ I will make you what no man can imagine if you give yourself to me wholely.
After this encounter with God, he started the champion ways ministries now Pottersville church International with headquarters in Accra with branches across the world.
Then God instructed him again to begin a Bible school which has over fifteen years ordained, imparted and raised over seven thousand pastors. Now the Dr Sam Owusu has investment and consultancy firms like the Samos Capital, Ilead Business institute which he train young leaders in entrepreneurship and building human capital through his business and leaders conference annually.
As one of the emerging influential leaders in the religious and moral part of life, social, entrepreneurial, life coaching and imparting of lives with the word of the Lord has transformed many lives and many share testimonies daily.
Sharing his personal life story and encounter with God through interviews on both local and international platforms such as South Africa’s leading broadcasting network SABC,Tv3 Restoration with Stacy and Metro TV Survival story, has changed lives of many people’s perception about what Grace can do in the life of a man.
Bishop Sam Owusu has through his tremendous works such as preaching on television stations in Ghana, Radio broadcasts which has made the name Sam Owusu a household name in Ghana and the world at large, organizing and hosting both local and international crusades with over fifty thousand crowds in countries such as Liberia, Ghana, Nigeria,Malaysia, has receive many honorary Awards in the past years of which few were Awards received from Benson Idahosa University, Nigerian Youth Association in Ghana. Receiving the Prestigious Honorary Award for the Most influential and Emerging man of God in Africa, Bishop Sam Owusu was Honoured and celebrated for his focused and much arising effort in reshaping, coaching, mentoring, teaching, funding, restoring destinies through the word of God.
Reading from his personal and divine achievements of previous Awards and imparts in the lives of others, his records of great testimonies in the lives of others was greatly witnessed.
He was awarded for such Prestigious position with all undeniable efforts exhibited through his works and testimonies of impacts in the lives of people.
Not only is he a pastor and Founder of the Pottersville church, Champion Prophetic Leadership college which has raised over seven thousand pastors around the globe, C.E.O of Ilead Business Consult , CEO of Samos Capital Investmeent and Televangelist who preaches on televisions in Ghana and beyond but has impacted lives through many ways.
Through his numerous books written on lifestyle, business, moral lifestyle, personal managements has changed many lives from zeroes to heroes.
His entrepreneurial skills and consultancy firm has over the years rebuilt many dying businesses and revitalized their strength, vision and missions to be accomplished.
Basing on his spiritual understanding and fifteen years of experience in marriage to his wife Dr. Joy Owusu who is the residence pastor of the Pottersville church and Dean of the prophetic school who has been a core and reference in the lives of many people’s marital affairs through his teachings, relationships, dating, courtship and marriages has helps many homes to restructure their marital affairs.
He has also trained men, women, businessmen; students discover their potential in life through his vibrant workaholic lifestyle and goal- getting character.
In Honorary of these and other reasons with shouting, clapping, Bishop Sam Owusu was Awarded the most Influential Emerging pastor in Africa and beyond. He received this Award with humility in standing innovations , joy in the presence of other dignitaries and guests.
Recalling these facts into remembrance, Bishop Sam Owusu on receiving the Award, thank God Almighty for how far he has brought him. Stating that his life has been a journey from grass to Grace through the favor of God.
Speaking and appreciating those who has been pillars and supportive of his life, ministry and through his journey of impacting lives, he reverend appreciated his wife Dr. Joy Owusu who has been with him since day one his journey.
He also thanked all supportive friends, members and partners for such love they have showed towards him. He happily dedicated the Award to God almighty and to his lovely family and encourage the youth to keep pursuing their dreams and vision and with faith and dedication to God’s word, they will succeed.
It was a night of Joy and celebration as his family and friends joined in celebration of this Noble and prestigious Award.
