It was this subjective view that the late Nigerian writer Chinua Achebe hinted at when he said, “until the lions have their own historians, the history of the hunt will always glorify the hunter.”
While accountable leadership remains one of the biggest challenges to development in Africa. Leaders in Africa have not always responded effectively to the needs of the continent, but there is hope in the rising generation of youth who could play a critical role in building accountability for successful economic transformation, representation, and public service. The urgency of these efforts is not lost on the youth, as they have the most to lose if solutions are not enacted.

Dr Hanna Louisa Bisiw, a Ghanaian former deputy minister for water resources works and housing and also former deputy minister for food and Agriculture is one good example of the essence of how resilience, tenacity and innovation play significant role in a successful career journey.
Dr Hanna Louisa Bisiw is a shining light, and has become a beacon of hope for the Ghanaian Youth across board. Trail-blazing positive pathways in her quest at instituting the dividends of Democracy in her home country Ghana.
In her words, “over the years, as a public servant and medical doctor who has had the privilege to serve at the highest level, being able to win against all odds is a treasured quality. It means you have the courage to forge through, the strength to stand, the positive mindset to see the light at the end of the tunnel and the faith to believe that impossible is nothing.”
This young Ghanaian Politician, Philanthropic and a development advocate, is a leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) the largest opposition party in Ghana and a Christian. Dr Hanna Louisa Bisiw is from a community called Techimantia of Tano South constituency in the Ahafo region of Ghana.
Dr Bisiw had her senior high-school education at Kumasi Girls Secondary School, and later acquired a scholarship to study in Cuba, where she graduated as a Veterinary Doctorand became a renowned Veterinary Surgeon.
She is an established public speaker and has received a lot of international and local awards to her credit.
