Pastor Wisdom Agodza popularly known as Pastor Nyansa Boakwa is a the head pastor of the Akan Language assembly of the Glorious Wave Church International. A media personality, human resources management consultant, entrepreneur and and the host of NSEM PII on Happy Fm in Accra Ghana.
Pastor Wisdom Agodza shared his story with Pleasures Magazine on how his path crossed with his spiritual father and mentor, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi and his experience as the head of the Akan language assemble of the church.
In his word, he stated “My first meeting with Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi was when I visited his spiritual father and mentor, Apostle Dr. Isaac Owusu Bempah about 4 years ago. And after we exchanged pleasantries, his first word to me was “Great man whether you like it or not, you are going to be a man of God before you die.”
At that time I was serving at the Christ apostolic church international, The word of God assembly in Kumasi as an usher, instrumentalist and financial officer respectively.
Few weeks after our first meeting, I decided to visit his (Prophet Kobi) church, Glorious Wave Church International for a spiritual decision I needed to take at that time.
I listened to His teaching and I was touched by it, after the service I made up my mind that I will follow this Man till I leave the earth.
Thereafter I became an active member of the church and on one particular Sunday, while Prophet Kobi was ministering, he sighted me at the back and directed one of the ushers to ushered me to sit at the section of the church where celebrities sits.
Barely a year and half later, on one faithful morning the man just mentioned my name and said “next week I will ordain you as a pastor”.
And on May 17th, 2015 the oil of change located my life and I became an anointed man of God.
Four months afterwards, I was called ‘ out of the blues’ to my surprise, and what has never happened in the history of the church, a local language ministry was announced and handed to me by the man of God, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi and the ex Ghanaian footballer Charles Taylor, now an ordained minister was appointed to be my associate pastor.
Twi service started first Sunday in September 2015.
The opening section was done by Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi himself and I remember on that day he spoke about ‘Ahen die Ne animuonyam’ meaning Kingdom and gloriousness.
It is a separate ministry under the Glorious Wave Church Ministry International, with an administrative department, treasury department and the local language choir “nkuranshefo” meaning Motivator’s.
We started with about 48 members on the first day and a year later, we are now over 250 active members, to the glory of God”.
Message from the General Overseer
Today is a day that our Lord has made.
At the beginning of the ministry, God spoke to me not to use local language (Twi) but the queen’s language English, that was in the year 2000.
Fast forward to 15 years later, a little over a year ago, as I was driving one day and I heard a voice saying ‘ Emmanuel Kobi, this is the time to start a local language service and the person I have assigned to this ministry is Pastor Wisdom Agodza aka Nyansa boakwa.
When I commissioned the first session in September 2015, I spoke on the message titled “Ahenie ne animuonyam” language is one of the key components of communication.
It is sad when you are sending out a good message to a group of people but only to find out that your choice of language made it impossible for them to understand you.
But today, most of our people who understand only the local language now have the opportunity to understand the good message of God.
I have been hearing countless of testimonies of what God has been doing in the midst of our brethren at the twi service and I believe this is just the beginning”.
Word of adulation
To the head pastor in charge of the twi service, Pastor Wisdom Agodza popularly known as Ps. Nyansa Boakwa and his associate Pastor Charles Taylor, as you have availed yourself for God to use you to explained this vision and the true understanding of gloriousness to the people of God, so will you be glorified.
You have kept the faith, committed to the service, selfless life, humble to all, no discrimination and above all no complaints.
You have exhibited the true essence of good leadership and maturity.
As you have answered His call to serve,
He will guide your path from day to day.
As some are called to prophesy, some to fervently pray.
Some are called to be the light to our path, but all are called to be servants each day.
Wherever God calls us to be His tool,
Wherever He sends us to tell of His love, Let us pause to remember how His Word Brings us power and wisdom from above”.
