It is one thing to receive a prophecy and it’s another thing for it to come to pass, it is one thing for God to love you, yet it is another thing for you to enjoy the love of God. It is one thing to plant and it is another thing to experience harvest, some people plant but they never experience harvest. There are some people that labour but they never eat the fruit of their labour. There is a way to follow God in other to enjoy the benevolence or the goodness of God, in this series we shall dwell on principles that will catapult you to walking in abundance.
Proverbs 4:20 – 22 “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. In other words, these words will make you a better person. Paul says in the books of Acts 20:32 – “And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified”. The word of God is able to build you up and delivers to you your inheritance in Christ. The word of God makes you walk in what you have inherited in Christ. Victory does not come by how much hard labour you put in but victories comes by smart and skillful labour. Farmers knowing the right kind of soil that will yield bountiful harvest bypasses other soil and choose the right kind of soil to plant his seeds. He can’t just plant his precious seed anywhere because he is a smart farmer, he plant his precious seeds in the right soil. Jesus says the word that I speak to you they are spirit and they are life (John 6:63b). When you hear it and receive it, if there’s anything dead in your life it will cause it to come back to life. There’s no darkness, sickness, poverty, sin that withstand the power of God’s word. Paul said to Timothy give yourself to these things, meditate on them day and night so that your profiting may appear to all (1 Timothy 4:15), there are breakthroughs and favours that you will encounter this year and all eyes shall behold it and give glory to the name of Jesus, I declare that you receive grace to encounter these favours in the name of Jesus – Amen. These can only happen when you take heed to the word of God.
Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success”. The word “then” refers to “time”. The day you give yourself to the word that is when change begins to take effect in your life. The time for your breakthrough is not in Gods hand neither in the devils hand but in your hand. The time is when you embrace the word of God completely. He says as we look into this perfect law, we are changed from glory to glory (James 1:25), so your change in life is not based on anything except by the word of God you look into. Stop folding your hands waiting for change to come; it will only come when you give your life wholly (mediate, observe, think, look) to the word of God that is only when you can have good success.
Psalm 1: 1 – 3: “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper”.
Whatsoever he does shall prosper because he dwells with the word day and night. Your change in life is not coming to you because you visited a prophet and he laid hands on you but your change is coming from the word of God. This is the right time to begin to study the word, read your bible, listen to tapes, download them in your mobile phones give yourself wholly to it. To be able to enjoy Gods unlimited favour you must first go for the word. The word of God must dwell within you richly; this is the first principle to enjoying Gods Favour.
The Next Principles to walking in Favour is GIVING. You must learn to be a giver, Ignorance of the word of God makes most Christian frustrated in life, you can be a sincere and honest Christian but ignorant of the word of God; ignorance open doors for demonic afflictions. The lord says if you must reap you must first of all sow; it is a law just like the law of gravity. Success is not by chance, one of the path ways to come into abundance in life is through giving. No matter the prophecies declared on you, if you don’t condition your mind to be a giver those prophecies become fruitless. Galatians 6:7 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap”, this scriptures clearly reveals the secret of receiving and living in abundance, what you sow is what you reap. The quality of your giving determines the quality of what you will receive. The promises of God cannot come to pass if you just sit down and fold your hands waiting for angels to manifest and bless you. “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again” (Luke 6:38). The first instruction is to give first, not just mere giving but qualitative giving because the quality of what you give determines what will be giving back to you. This is a law of life, all the richest men in the world gave something to the world and as a result the world is paying back in monetary form. Farmers plant seeds and it grows and brings forth fruit, there must be a giving first before the reaping. Lazy people are stingy people, all the focus on is SELF and as a result they remain poor. You must understand that Prayers cannot take the place of giving, no matter the hours you spent to prayer and the tongues you speak, you must give to receive, it is a principle.
I urge you today to condition your mind and become a giver, givers never lacks, obey this principle and you will begin to experience unexplainable favours coming into your life. I pray for you that your eyes of understanding be open and that your heart and mind become a fruitful place for the word for God to dwell in and as you begin to obey this principles every doors of breakthrough and prosperity opens to you in the name of Jesus, Amen.
