Designer extraordinaire and CEO of Ghana-based Velma’s Millinery and Accessories, Velma Owusu Bempah, turned plus 1 not too long ago and she celebrated by releasing a limited edition birthday collection tagged Crown by Velma. The collection featured pieces specially crafted to give that queenly look. The pieces were made with soft mixed tones of gold leather and sequence.
For her shoot with the birthday collection pieces, Velma kept it elegant and classy as she showed off some of her pieces in a dress made by Ophelia Crossland, with makeup by Alexandrina. Her hair was styled by Christine Kastner while photography was covered by Gilbert Asante. For one of her looks, she wore a 3-tiered gown in brocade and organza puff sleeves and this look was completed with 2 different types of floral garlands from the Velma Birthday Collection.
For a second look, she opted for a black sequined dress with a green clutch and sequined turban from her collection. While her third look was an ethereal jumpsuit in hues of rose gold velvets and silver sequins fabric enhanced with beads and pearls. The look was completed with a crown of soft mixed tones of gold leather and sequins. Her fourth look was a velvety draped dress and sequined wide leg trousers and for her fifth, she opted for a peach and black floral ensemble. All her looks were complemented with handcrafted accessories from her limited edition birthday collection.
