To say it was an amazingly electrifying night would not do it adequate justice. It was phenomenal! The awe that captivated the audience from the moment they flocked into House of Miracle Ministry auditorium at 5pm on Saturday December 3. It was an evening that was better experienced than talked about. So was the success that was The Stars in Worship 2016.
The evening started with a colourful ministration by the House of Miracle choir and progressed into soul stirring performances from a Jos Nigeria based choreography group Paolo, SP Kofi Sarpong, Fracis Amoo amongst other gospel left no stone unturned in the journey to rendering deep heartfelt worship at heavens gate.
The event got many stars on the go praising and worshiping the Almighty God for what He has done. Popular celebrities including the three brothers of the host pastor, Brian, Daniel and Mark Amoateng. Mr Ibu, Desmond Elliot, Emeka Ike, Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha, Emelia Brobbey, Adwoa Smart, O.J and other celebrities from Nigeria and Ghana were present.
The Convener, Prophet Sampson Amoateng was unrepentant in his resolve to preach the gospel of Christ and bring the stars and their fans together to share their experience and to worship God together. His love for a better Ghana could be felt from the various sessions of prayers that were raised for the nation and the entire continent. According to him, ‘Every Christian ought to be multidimensional, with political, economic, social and spiritual influence. Christians should get involved in governance! Our nation deserves, not the worst leading the rest, but the best, serving the rest.’
The concert was described as one of the biggest music concert in Ghana; the organisers described it as one where gender, nationality, status and race cease to exist “as people lift up one voice to one God.”
The Stars in Worship is an annual praise-night, featuring the best of gospel music ministers and celebrities from around the world.
