Lawyer Kamah Thoronka, the Managing Partner of Thoronka Law Offices was on Saturday, October 5th 2019, ordained as a pastor by Ghanaian International Preacher and President/Founder of the Pottersville Church International , Bishop Dr. Sam Owusu at the St. Paul United Methodist church, Virginia Woodbridge USA.
Bishop Sam Owusu, who is also the President of the Covenant Christian Leadership College and International Apostolic and Prophetic Churches Council, Ghana, West Africa was joined by the biological father of Lawyer Thoronka, the Rev. Dr Daniel Grimes Gueh, who has been in ministry for over 50 years and on that day, spiritually transferred the mantle of grace to the daughter.
Other ministers in attendance were Bishop Kofi Adonteng Boateng, Divine Word International Ministries, Dr Kingsley Vander-Puje, Dominion Life Ministries, Apostle Christian Philips, Clay Ministries, and Apostle George Amoako Owusu, Mt. Zion Ministry and a host of ministers from various parts of the world were there to perform the ordination.
Mrs. Thoronka has earned a number of honors and awards including the Congressional Scholar Award, Most Influential Women in Business Award, Woman of Substance Award and the Gem of Africa award. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Maryland and the Massachusetts Bars. She is aggressive and very conscious about helping displaced refugees adapt to environments that are new to them.
Mrs. Thoronka has settled many Family Law and Domestic Relations cases including divorce, child support, child custody and property. She has had a huge success in the immigration cases, especially in the area of removal proceedings. Mrs. Thoronka is credited for successfully handling a case against 7UP Corporation, which was published at the Federal District Court in Maryland. She is no-nonsense and fights with every integrity to get the best results for her clients. She is an author, a gospel recording artist, a motivational speaker, and an electrifying preacher who delivers the word of God undiluted. She is the founder of Kamah Thoronka Ministries, which main focus is to mentor young women into finding their potential and helping women find their place from domestic abuse and violence.
In his message, Bishop Sam Owusu said “You cannot receive his glory if you don’t know how to suffer, lose and sacrifice for the kingdom sake. As ministry’s success is about losing, sacrificing and suffering for the eternal glory, power and blessing. For whosoever will save his life shall lose his life and whosoever shall lose his life for my sake shall found it. Mathew 16:25.”
He also admonished the gathering that ordination of Lawyer Thoronka is a high call to service with tremendous pastoral responsibilities.
Speaking to Pleasures Magazine after the ceremony, Bishop Same Owusu stressed the need for people in God’s Ministry to be humble.
“No life is bad to God,” he said, stressing that whoever is called to his ministry faces challenges, tribulations and perils but in the end the person should have faith in God.
At the end of the ceremony, Kamah Thoronka expressed her profound appreciation to Bishop Sam Owusu, all ministers, friends, family, colleagues and all loved ones for their support.
