Clare Waight Keller has been Announced as Givenchy’s New Artistic Director replacing Riccardo Tisci

Clare Waight Keller has been announced as the new artistic director at Givenchy. The brand made the announcement on their Instagram page with a picture of Clare. The former creative director at Chloé left the brand earlier in the month and will be replacing Riccardo Tisci, effective from May 2.

According to Vogue, the former artistic director had a mooted appointment with Versace, but no news of him joining the team has been confirmed.

This is the second high profile female hire in the last year, following the appointment of Maria Grazia Chiuri at Dior. Clare will be responsible for the house’s women and men’s ready-to-wear and accessories collections, and of course haute couture.

Congolmerate chairman and CEO of the Moet, Hennessy, Louis Vuitton (LVHM) group Bernard Arnault said he was happy that Clare has joined the ranks. “I believe her widespread expertise and vision will allow Givenchy to enter the next phase of its unique path, I am very much looking forward to her contribution to the maison’s continued success.”

Everyone is eager to see the creative work Clare brings to the table during her tenure at Givenchy.
