Faiza and Jibril got married one year ago – in July 2015, and they’re happy to share with us how married life has been.
But first! The meeting … Bride Faiza starts, “We met five years ago. It was my uncle’s wedding and I was standing outside my house with no makeup on and wearing a black abaya, making a phone call.”
My brother came to tell me, ‘A cute guy has been staring at you.’ It was then I realized there was a really handsome man standing right next to me.
He watched me talking on the phone but I didn’t even notice he was there.
After I left, we did not see each other until a year later and well, I decided to give him a chance and we started dating. I was shocked, because the first day we went out, he said,“You are beautiful and I love you!” Then added, “Will you marry me, please?” I remember telling him, “But you don’t even know me!”
After our first year anniversary, I went over to the UK for my Masters Degree. We had so many challenges; being away in London one year for starters, plus, many people were against it.

As time passed however, our feelings grew stronger because he was madly in love with me so I did not even care what people said.
Then she added again, “He proposed to me the first day we went out together! Funny guy. Can you imagine that?, and laughed.
Now the pair has been married for a year and we caught up with them on how life as One has been.
