It was two years until Imonite finally broke the silence between them. Jennifer and Imonite worked at a hospital together and would always see each other passing by. Jennifer was hesitant and resisted every time he would ask her out. But Imonite was persistent and eventually won her heart. Six months later, on Cinco de Mayo, they went out on their first date.
Traveling is one of the things this adventurous couple loves to do together. These jet-setters have been to many far distant lands and beyond. For the proposal, Imonite chose the perfect destination to propose to his leading lady. Paris, the city of love, would set the tone for his romantic declaration to Jennifer. Jennifer felt she knew what was going to happen on their trip there but Imonite added a twist. After a day of sightseeing in the historic magical city, they went to the gardens of the Musée du Louvre. There, he led his future bride into an enchanting beautiful field of flowers. He got down on one knee and proclaimed to Jennifer how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Jennifer was ecstatic and little did she know that Imonite had a photographer capture the entire moment! It was a perfect fairy tale ending to this wonderful trip.
For the wedding, family and friends from all over the world traveled for the couple’s special day. It was a weekend filled with celebrations! Jennifer and Imonite had two different ceremonies on different days. The first one celebrated Imonite’s Bendel Nigerian culture, with a traditional ceremony. Jennifer was a showstopper in her asymmetrical gown that fit in perfectly with her chic black, white, and blush theme at the American traditional ceremony the next day. Jennifer recalls the best memory of her big day, “The best memory from my wedding was my father walking me down the aisle to my future husband and seeing all my friends and family from different aspects of our lives filled with so much happiness and joy.” The wedding was truly a moment of Jennifer and Imonite’s life that they will cherish forever.
