Dignitaries from all walks of life, captain of Industries and political leaders gathered Saturday, August 6 to felicitate with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as his son Seyi Tinubu married his beau Layal Holm at the Registry.
The lovebirds had their registry wedding and were joined by family and many dignitaries, friends of the groom’s father Bola Ahmed Tinubu – former governor of Lagos state.
Esteemed guests included Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, Deputy Governor Dr. Idiat Adebule, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Ooni of Ife Oba Ogunwusi, Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi, the Oba of Lagos and many more.
President Buhari also sent his congratulations in a letter to the couple.
Seyi, the son of the Jargaban of Borgu and former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu got engaged to his 25-yr-old girlfriend of Lebanese-Nigerian parents in November 2016 in Ghana over a private dinner,with their close friends there to celebrate the moment. Everyone that knows the happy couple who dated for a few years, is aware Layal is truly the apple of her groom-to-be’s eye. The couple who chose black and white as the colors for their pre-wedding shoot in April totally nailed the romantic photos they took.
Seyi is a law graduate of the University of Buckingham, UK. He became popular after he failed his first attempt at the Nigerian Law School. He passed at the 2nd attempt. Afterwards, he left for his Masters in Corporate & Commercial Law at the same university.
Layal, on the other hand, is a 25-year-old graduate of Political Science and African Studies at the SOAS, University of London and also has a Masters in Entrepreneurship & Business Management from the University of Surrey. She is a consultant at Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC).
